My Golden Hands is a capacity-building intervention as part of NanaNakeya’s effort to unlock children’s potential and talent development toward building their future. It involves identifying Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs) male and female children living in Orphanage centres or Foster Care Homes with an interest in handcraft, training and guiding them throughout their entrepreneurship journey. The aim is to prevent or reduce the possible implications of being “idle” which include risk behaviours, early pregnancies and marriages, exposure to rape and threatening the safety of communities amongst others
At Nananakeya, we are convinced that all children deserve better, hold the future and are positive change agents therefore they should be guaranteed their rights for equitable and sustainable development.
