Jembekuza

The program is named ‘JEMBEKUZA’ a name resulting from two Swahili words: Jembe ‘hoe’ and Kuza ‘grow’ conceptually defined as agriculture education for children’. It means linking children with nature through knowledge of good agriculture practices and economic benefits, food, and conservation education. Jembekuza is a transformative initiative designed to advance and provide school children with food knowledge, and agricultural and conservation education through school and home gardening.
